About the CompanyAbout the RoleWe are looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of our industrial services portfolio in Korea and regional markets. This role focuses on testing, inspection, product certification, technical consulting and project supervision within key industrial sectors such as shipbuilding, rolling stock, nuclear power, oil & gas, and data centers. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in supporting overseas projects led by Korean Owner or EPC companies, ensuring delivery excellence and alignment with global standards.
ResponsibilitiesMarket Development & Regional StrategyIdentify and develop new business opportunities across Korea and Asia-Pacific regions. Focus on industrial sectors including shipbuilding, rolling stock, nuclear, oil & gas, and data center infrastructure. Support and manage overseas projects by Korean Owner or EPC companies, ensuring compliance with client expectations and internal standards. Client & Stakeholder Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, Owners, EPC contractors, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders. Act as the primary liaison for Korean clients managing international projects, facilitating smooth execution and communication, to deliver services in line with contracts and to the satisfaction of clients.
Sales, Negotiation & Contract ManagementLead the complete sales process from lead generation to contract finalization. Develop tailored proposals in collaboration with technical and project teams. Negotiate and close contracts in line with company policy and client requirements. Project Coordination & Supervision SupportCoordinate project implementation with internal teams to ensure efficient execution of inspection, testing, certification, technical consulting and supervision services. Provide market feedback and customer insights to continuously enhance service offerings and operational delivery. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) ResponsibilitiesParticipate in and lead M&A initiatives, including market mapping & target identification, meeting with target companies, due diligence, and post-merger integration planning.
Evaluate financial data and business risks using expertise in financial analysis and market dynamics. Collaborate with finance and legal departments to ensure smooth transaction flow aligned with corporate growth strategies. Reporting & ForecastingPrepare detailed reports on business development, project pipeline, sales forecasts, and market trends for senior leadership. Monitor key performance indicators and suggest strategic actions for business growth and operational improvement. Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all services and operations comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and internal policies. Foster a culture of quality, safety, and environmental responsibility across all projects and client engagements. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred) is a plusMinimum 15 years of experience in business development or industrial project managementStrong knowledge of industry EPC project life cycles and industrial service standardsBusiness acumen, Proven ability to develop and manage client relationshipsStrong experience for international projects involving several regions/countries, familiar with international business environmentFluent in Korean and EnglishStrong financial and analytical skillsGood for communication and inter-personnel skillsFamiliarity or certification in industry-specific standards (e. g. , API, ASME, ASTM, EU Directives)Willingness to travel for domestic and international assignments
