Job Description

Roles and responsibilitiesReceive, unpack, and inspect incoming stock deliveries; verify items against purchase orders and delivery notes. Accurately update inventory records in the system (e. g. , stock transfers, GRNs, adjustments). Organize and maintain stockroom areas to ensure safety, cleanliness, and efficient retrieval of products. Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in full stock audits/inventories. Identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or issues to the Inventory Supervisor. Assist in restocking the sales floor and ensuring displays are appropriately filled. Coordinate stock transfers between stores or back to suppliers as directed.

Support the sales team with stock availability inquiries and locating items. Follow all company policies regarding stock handling, security, and loss prevention. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the stockroom and receiving areas. Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is a plus. Minimum 1 year of experience in retail inventory, warehousing, or stock handling preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems (e. g. , Sage or POS systems). Basic knowledge of Excel and inventory spreadsheets. Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy stock items. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Preferred Skills: Passion for outdoor sports and knowledge of Adventure HQ’s product range. Good communication skills to liaise with sales and logistics teams. Problem-solving mindset when handling inventory discrepancies.
