Shared Services ExecutiveIntroductionAn exciting opportunity has become available at South Africa’s leading Health, Beauty and Wellness Retailer. We are seeking a Shared Services Executive to join our Group Finance team, located at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town. This position will report directly to the Head of Group Finance.Job PurposeTo ensure the effective delivery of Sales and Banking data as well as Working Capital (Inventory, AP and AR) for the Group; and support the Head of Group Finance in overseeing efficient delivery by the Group Insurance and Business Systems Managers.Job ObjectivesTo manage the key deliverables of the shared services business units including timely payments and collections of all trade, expense and rent vendors for Clicks, UPD and smaller brands and divisions including, Sorbet, 180 Degrees, and Unicare.To continuously assess and manage and communicate the working capital management requirements of the brands and Group – liaise with the Group Treasurer so there are no surprises.To ensure effective people management and their development in line with Group HR strategy and departmental needs.To affect the provision of efficient and cost-effective transactional processing capabilities for the retail and wholesale businesses within the scope of shared services.To review and manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliations to be completed by the shared services team.To manage the optimal use of information and resources with a view to improvement in process compliance and business efficiency practices.To deliver on key Group Finance strategic projects including SAP S/4 preparation implementation, moving of UPD debtors to the group AR team.QualificationBcom AccountingChartered Accountant, CIMA or other Accounting qualification.Job-related knowledgeKnowledge of working on different accounting systemsKnowledge of International Financial Reporting StandardsPractical knowledge of budgetingKnowledge of statutory requirementsRelevant knowledge of Companies ActInsuranceJob-related skillsComputer Literacy, Excel, SAP and SAP EPM/SAC (or equivalent)Interpersonal skillsPeople Management skillsNegotiation skillsTime management skillsPlanning skillsCommunication skillsLeadership skillsHigh level verbal and written skillsJob-related experienceArticles with major accountancy firm 5+ years' experience in finance department or professional services firm.5+ years' experience performing a management function within a head office environment of a listed companyEssential CompetenciesLeading and SupervisingDeciding and Initiating ActionPersuading and InfluencingAnalysingPlanning and OrganisingWorking with People Adhering to Principle and ValuesCreating and Innovation
