Committed to excellence, we build strong relationships with our clients from inquiry to product installation.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a SHEQ Advisor/Assistant supporting our site in the Greater Southampton, Portsmouth and Basingstoke Areas. The role involves ensuring compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards across the organization. Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, managing audits, updating policies and procedures, delivering staff training on compliance matters, and supporting the implementation of SHEQ initiatives to promote a safe and efficient workplace. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide support to the SHEQ team to achieve excellent safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards across the business.Support Management Teams to achieve SHEQ compliance by providing sound Health, Safety and Environmental advice and guidance. Assist the SHEQ team to maintain a management system that meets ISO 9001/14001/45001 requirements. Support the communication of, and day to day adherence to work instructions (Procedures, Drawings, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work)Undertake periodic statutory inspections/checks such as fire alarm system tests, legionella checks, safety walks, DSE assessments, etc. Manage Maintenance and Servicing Records, Statutory Equipment Checks.Assist with the investigation of accidents, incidents and non-conformances and identify root causes and corrective actions. Lead the induction of new employees/contractors and, take full ownership of competency and training records and arrangements.  Carry out periodic Risk Assessment Reviews.  Lead the evaluation, onboarding and continuous management of suppliers. Actively drive the SHEQ culture across the business.Conduct Internal & Supplier Audits and, manage closure of identified actions. Take a supporting role in improvement projects. QualificationsKnowledge of SHEQ principles, standards, and regulations, including risk assessment and accident investigation.Proficient user of Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc] (Essential) Able to organise and prioritise own workload and work autonomously (Essential)Good confident communicator with the ability to communicate with employees from all levels within the business (Essential)IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (Desirable) Nebosh General Certificate (Desirable)Understanding of Health and Safety Legislation & Quality Principles (Desirable)Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 (Desirable) Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to enforce health, safety, and quality initiatives.
