Will you join us?Role SummarySherwood is currently seeking a CAD Technician III to support our growing, progressive and multidisciplinary engineering firm. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of Sherwood’s global team, collaborating with engineering and operations disciplines to cocreate solutions to a variety of organizational challenges. The CAD Technician III is a senior-level drafter responsible for leading and producing high-quality, complex civil infrastructure drawings and deliverables.

This role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements. They will support project teams in advanced CAD workflows, BIM/GIS integration, and quality control processes.

Minimum SkillsTypically 5+ years of experience in the industryProficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutocadProficiency in sheet and plan setup Proficiency in Windows, MS Office, and Google AppsFamiliarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks, or similar toolsStrong knowledge of industry information and current with industry standardsDemonstrated leadership in CAD production teamsStrong organizational and file management skillsTime management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlinesExcellent communication and mentoring abilityAbility to work independently and within a team environmentIntermediate English speaking, writing and reading skillsPreferred SkillsTechnical degree from Technical/Professional High School, INA or equivalentPrevious experience as a CAD Technician/Drafter or related positionExperience/knowledge in land development, site development, infrastructureExperience with Autodesk Civil 3D and GIS Experience with BIM workflows and interoperability of Civil 3D, Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
