As a Senior Product Manager focused on product development, you will lead a team of Product Owners and Managers, driving product initiatives from concept through delivery.
You will oversee development cycles, prioritize features, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. This role requires strong organizational leadership and cross-functional coordination to support our product growth and excellence. Job DescriptionLead and manage a team of Product Owners and Managers, ensuring high standards, proper workload distribution, and effective onboarding, training, and performance management. Maintain initiative backlogs, prioritize features, and oversee feature delivery progress, dependencies, and deadlines across modules. Resolve disruptions, remove roadblocks, and guide the team to optimal sprint presentations and PO release documentation. Collaborate cross-departmentally to align on business goals and product execution.
Take ownership of complex or cross-modular initiatives, including ad hoc strategic tasks beyond core scope. Participate in roadmap planning, customer update sessions, and operational meetings; step in for Product Director responsibilities when needed. Drive quality and control for new features through peer review sessions and internal collaboration. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and implementing solutions. Monitor and maintain adherence to product management procedures, policies, and documentation standards across the team. Identify synergies across Shiji’s broader portfolio and ensure seamless integration of product modules and initiatives.
Utilize industry experience to participate in peer review sessions, ensuring control and quality assurance of new features through technical insight and cross-functional collaboration. Travel domestically and internationally to Shiji offices and Shiji customers for collaboration and presentation. Qualifications5+ years of experience in software product management or product ownership or development area. Experience in story writing, sprint planning, refinement, writing of release notes and sprint review presentations. 4+ years experience in hospitality industry either with product development, product management, implementations or support. Leadership or management experience with direct or dotted line reports.
Excel in ability to troubleshoot and resolve challenges independently by creating solutions appropriate for all involved. Demonstrate ability to drive product forward. Confidence to make suggestions to achieve improvements, efficiencies and drive these solutions through to completion. Leadership qualities with ability to adhere to policy and procedure Ownership and accountability. We look for someone who proactively takes ownership. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and accountability in actions and communication and behavior at all times. Effectiveness in communication. Understanding of how to communicate to executive management, colleagues, and also line reports.
