We need an energetic, detail-oriented individual to join the factory warehouse and shipping team in Sidney to help with the smooth daily management of inventory, stock delivery, and preparing Shockwave products for customer delivery. What you will be doing: Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Controller, the Shipper/Receiver’s primary responsibility is to ensure that inventory is received and stored efficiently and accurately at the warehouse, and finished products are transferred from the factory for delivery. o Responsible for receiving all incoming deliveries into the warehouse and ensuring they are not damaged.
o Assist with loading and unloading orders. o Prepare shipments (labelling, shrink-wrapping, and palletizing). o Assist with overall warehouse maintenance and storage. o Operate a forklift and/or other material handling equipment. o Sort goods and pack parcels for outgoing shipments. o Process orders through a computerized shipping system. o Perform functions related to picking and packing products. o Operate manual and powered material handling equipment. o Keep the warehouse and work areas clean. o Follow all regulated health & safety policies and procedures. . Your Experience and Skills:
Previous experience in a production warehouse environment will be an asset, especially in the following areas: o Experience with inventory management systems. o Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team. o Excellent attention to detail and time management. Nice-to-Haves: While this position will primarily focus on managing warehouse inventory, additional skills that could prove beneficial include: o Forklift operation experience.
o Good communication skillso Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Officeo Good references o Located nearbyo Prior similar experience o Desire to learno Be part of a team Training will be provided if you do not have experience with the above or if we can help you in any way. Education and licenses: o Class 5 driver’s license. o Grade 12 or equivalent preferred. Pay and Benefits Summary: o An hourly salary from $28-$32 per hour, commensurate with experience and reviewable on the completion of the probation period. o 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
