Job SummaryA highly-motivated and detail-oriented Shopify E-commerce Specialist with hands-on experience to act as the engine of our online store, responsible for the entire product lifecycle - from sourcing new, trending items to ensuring a flawless customer checkout experience. The ideal candidate will have proven Shopify experience, strong negotiation skills, and a passion for product merchandising. He / she will be our primary point of contact for all UAE-based suppliers, drop-shippers, and warehouses, managing these relationships to build a "winning value proposition" for our customers. Key Responsibilities:Vendor Sourcing & Relationship ManagementProactively research, identify, and contact new UAE-based drop-shipping companies, warehouses, and local wholesalers to find and onboard new, trending products.Act as the primary point of contact for all suppliers, managing all day-to-day communication via email and phone.Negotiate pricing, service terms, and shipping agreements with distributorsManage supplier onboarding, ensuring seamless integration with our Shopify platform (e.g., inventory feeds, order processing).2.Product Merchandising & Content: a. Manage the end-to-end process of adding new products to the Shopify store b. Write compelling, accurate, and SEO-friendly product titles and descriptions that drive conversions. c. Source, edit (if necessary), and upload high-quality product images and videos. d. Configure all product details, including variants (e.g., size, color), pricing, tags, and collections. e. Regularly audit the live website to ensure product information, pricing, and imagery are correct and compelling.3.Inventory & Order Managementa. Closely monitor inventory levels from all suppliers, ensuring stock data is accurately synced to the Shopify store to prevent overselling.b. Manage the daily order fulfillment workflow, ensuring orders are transmitted to the correct supplier/warehouse promptly.c. Track order statuses from fulfillment to delivery, proactively identifying and resolving any delays or issues with suppliers.d. Manage the returns process, including coordinating with customers and suppliers4.Shopify Store & Operations Managementa. Configure, test, and perfect all shipping protocols, including shipping zones, rates, and profiles for the UAE marketb. Conduct rigorous, end-to-end testing of all customer journeys (e.g., browsing, cart, checkout, payment, post-purchase notifications) to ensure a flawless experience.c. Install and manage essential Shopify apps (e.g., for drop-shipping, reviews, SEO, shipping).d. Perform regular website maintenance to identify and fix bugs, broken links, or speed issues5.Performance & Customer Servicea. Monitor key e-commerce KPIs (e.g., sales, conversion rate, average order value) and report on product/category performance.b. Use sales data to identify best-sellers and slow-moving items to inform future sourcing decisions.c. Act as the primary point of contact for escalated customer service inquiries related to products, shipping, and returns, providing timely and professional support.Qualifications & Skills Required:a. Proven, hands-on experience (4+ years) managing a Shopify or Shopify Plus store.b. Demonstrable experience in e-commerce product sourcing and vendor managementc. Strong understanding of the drop-shipping and e-commerce logistics model.d. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in phoning and emailing new potential partners.e. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in product data, shipping configurations, and website testing.f. Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.g. Must have a strong understanding of the GCC (UAE, Saudi etc.) e-commerce market and supplier landscape.h. Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets for managing product and inventory dataNice to Have:a. Advanced knowledge of on-page SEO principles for e-commerceb. Experience with basic photo editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop)c. Experience in setting up and managing digital marketing campaigns (e.g., Google Shopping, Facebook Ads).
