As a Commercial Project Manager, you would be the project entrepreneur responsible for commercial aspects and project financials for the Sales and Execution areas of international & local projects that keep us on track towards achieving our mission. You will make critical decisions daily, driving projects towards successful completion from the early bid phase until final completion.
Your role is important in helping both the customer and the project achieve their goals, energizing the world by implementing our innovative solutions within calculated budgets. You might start the day with a bid strategy meeting with the international tender team, and in the afternoon, participate in a project review meeting with the local stakeholders. How You’ll Make An ImpactProvide commercial support & guidance during bid phase by advising on market routes, commercial T&Cs, tax, cash flow analysis, pricing, scenario analysis, & payment structure etc.
Project set up in ERP ensuring correct billing, revenue & cost plan have been reportedFull commercial responsibilities for execution phase including invoicing, cost analysis, cash collection, project margin analysis & correct reporting of non-conformance costsCommunicate project financials to relevant stakeholders highlighting milestones, risks, opportunities & provisionsTake responsibility for the commercial processing of orders, order entry, budgeting, and achieving targets (revenue, results, functional costs, etc. )Prepare cost sheet, review booked hours & expenses, send calculation to the customers for approval and invoice on approval for the Field Service portfolio.
Steer periodic closing activities ensuring orders, revenue & costs are reported correctlyMonitor, maintain & update project hedging as per Siemens Energy Treasury guidanceGlobal reporting & Inventory analysisAd hoc commercial support as & when requiredWhat You BringBachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of Finance, financial management, accounting or business managementRelevant working experience in accounting, commercial finance and/ or project controllingKnowledge of SAP, Power BI & IFRS is preferredSkilled in office package (word, excel & power point)Ability to present information in a clear manner to non-finance staff (verbal & written)Ability to analyze figures and bring it in connection with business activitiesResult and quality driven with attention to detail and good inter-personal skillsWho is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
