Overview: A leading Irish retailer and food producer is seeking a Procurement Analyst to manage the procurement of goods and services across indirect and packaging spend. The successful candidate will evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration and require strong data analysis and communication skills. Key Responsibilities:
Lead sourcing and tendering for goods and services across multiple categories, including packaging, utilities, subscriptions, and general suppliesWork closely with internal teams and suppliers to support procurement needs and service deliveryNegotiate commercial terms and contracts to secure value and favourable terms for the businessEnsure accurate and timely processing of requisitions and purchase ordersIdentify opportunities to consolidate suppliers and improve supplier relationshipsAssist in vendor onboarding and ensure adherence to procurement policiesAnalyse procurement data to uncover cost-saving and process improvement opportunitiesMonitor procurement-related risks and recommend mitigation strategiesRequirements:
Third-level degree in a business-related fieldMinimum of 2 years' experience in indirect procurementHands-on experience in sourcing consumables and direct spend categoriesFamiliarity with Oracle or Procure-to-Pay systemsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesAble to manage priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentProactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven team player
