If you have an interest in Signal Processing and in particular Acoustic Signal Processing in Echo Sounders, Sonars and Underwater Communication – this role is for you.At Marine Life Technologies within Kongsberg Discovery, you will have the opportunity to challenge your technical thinking and analytical skills through close cross disciplinary collaboration.Together with a strong team of engineers you will develop solutions, features and technology for marine life products contributing to sustainable fishery, underwater situation awareness, safe sea voyage and much more.Innovate for a better world with us. Protechting People and Planet drives every solution.What You Will Be DoingYou will have a key role in developing Signal Processing solutions for new products and for further development of established productsWork closely with product managers, software teams, engineering disciplines and other stakeholdersPerform algorithm code development, testing and verificationBecome deeply familiar with existing implementations and propose improvementsSupport software development and testingConduct signal processing pre-studiesLead and co-ordinate reviews, clarifying signal processing requirementsWe think you should haveTechnical degree from a University/University college within Mathematics, Statistics, Signal Processing, Cybernetics or similarExperience with underwater acoustics is advantageousKnowledge of analog and digital signal processingFamiliarity with and interest in digital communication techniquesFamiliarity with control theory (in particular Kalman filter)Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Matlab, Simulink, Python, Julia, C++ or C#Experience with one or more of the following documentation tools: Word with Math Type, LaTeX or MathCadNewly Graduated candidates are encouraged to apply.At KONGSBERG, we believe that diversity fuels innovation.
