Sales Associate

Position: Sales Associate Reports to: Retail ManagerWe are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Retail team. Our Sales Associate will assist with the day-to-day sales related activities and provide support to the Retail Manager and team. Opportunities The Sales Associate works in a fast-paced, retail environment selling organic, vegan, natural food, and bread products. This position would suit someone who is passionate about health and lives and breathes a healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate would be comfortable in a conservative, traditional healthy food store and would need a strong understanding of Health, Vegan and Organic foods.

You enjoy performing tasks that require a lot of relationship building and customer interactionsKey Responsibilities Provide great customer service in person and over the phoneAnswer customer questions, asking appropriate questions to determine the customer's needs, up selling when appropriateWorking at the til; handling cash and credit salesActively demo store products; preparing demo's according to Food Safe standardsFilling store shelves, coolers and freezer with products; using the correct rotational systemStocking and re-stocking shelves with retail productsCleaning the Cafe and Retail Store at closing and throughout the dayEnsuring garbage and recycling is taken out when full Ensuring the cleanliness of the bathrooms Must be flexible to work all store shiftsMust be service orientedHave good supervisory skillsExcellent communication skillsGood temperamentComputer skills (Microsoft, Excel)Knowledge of natural foods, vegetarian and vegan lifestyle preferredKnowledge of health and healthy lifestyleSkills & ExperiencePrevious retail sales experience in the food industry is an assetMust have excellent communication skills; fully proficient in EnglishFlexibility with schedule changes and shift timesABle to lift 25 kgStrong organization skills with the ability to multi-taskAttention to detail and problem solving skills BenefitsEmployee DiscountsOn-site ParkingHourly rate $17.
