We are looking for a construction solicitor to join one of New Zealand’s leading construction law teams. This is a rare opportunity to be involved in New Zealand's most significant construction and infrastructure projects, across all sectors including commercial building, PPPs, roading, transport, mining, waste, water, energy, oil and gas and telecommunications. Our highly respected and dedicated Construction team handles a wide range of project and construction work from front end to back end/disputes for a variety of clients such as developers, public entities, infrastructure providers/funders, consultants and contractors.
We are looking for motivated solicitors with 3-7 years’ quality experience from a reputable firm or organisation, great communication skills and a commitment to excellent client service. In particular you’ll either have good experience in the drafting of contracts for the construction/infrastructure sector and/or strong dispute resolution experience. While experience in construction is preferred, if you have quality commercial contract or litigation experience, plus a keen interest in moving into construction, this role could still be right for you.
You’ll get plenty of top-quality work and be involved in some of New Zealand’s key infrastructure projects. We are a cohesive, collegial team, with fantastic mentoring on offer from the Partners, Special Counsel and Senior Associates who are all well-known experts in this sector. The team has a collaborative working style and offers opportunities in both front end and back end for all staff. .
