Your RoleAs an Assistant Design Manager, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the design process across exciting and complex construction projects.
Reporting to the Project Lead or Senior Design Manager (depending on project scale), you’ll be the vital link between consultants, suppliers, and internal teams—ensuring seamless collaboration and design excellence from concept to completion.
What You’ll DoTake ownership of design-related elements during the tender and pre-construction phasesSupport the selection and management of the design team, including consultants and specialist subcontractorsEnsure timely delivery of design information aligned with programme and budget requirementsCollaborate closely with the M&E Coordinator to ensure full integration of building and servicesMentor and support Design Coordinators during the construction phaseEnsure compliance with statutory design regulations, planning permissions, and building controlContribute to cost meetings and ensure design aligns with commercial objectivesUse digital tools such as BIM, CAD, Viewpoint (4Projects), and Microsoft Office to manage and communicate design informationWhat You BringA degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related design disciplineExperience supporting pre-construction and construction phases on large-scale projectsStrong understanding of procurement routes, contract types, and building regulationsCommercial awareness and a collaborative mindsetFamiliarity with BREEAM, CDM regulations, and programming softwareA proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary with annual reviewsCompany car or car allowance26 days annual leave (plus option to purchase 5 more)Employer pension contributionsFlexible and remote working optionsEnhanced parental leaveProfessional development and educational supportTravel expenses and competitive mileage ratesWhy Join Sisk?At Sisk, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
