Site Manager - Agriculture / BiotechHartmann Young is partnered with an innovative biotechnology company in the agriculture sector, looking to grow their team with the addition of a Site Manager in Wageningen, Netherlands. This is a rare opportunity to run a highly specialised, fast-growing site with a small, motivated team, ensuring production and QC remain at the highest standard.The RoleLead the day-to-day operations of a small site (approximately 15 employees), including manufacturing and QC;Oversee production and quality control processes for a unique, R&D-driven diagnostic product;Support the team with decision-making and ensure operational consistency without overhauling established processes;Balance operational efficiency with risk-aware decision-making in a small, R&D-focused environment;Act as the operational point of contact for the site, reporting to the General Manager in Leipzig;Maintain strong alignment with company standards while enabling site-level autonomy where appropriate. The PersonExperience leading an operational team, ideally in biotech, diagnostics, or pharma manufacturing;Fluency in Dutch;Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a hands-on approach while knowing when to step back and let experienced team members operate;Comfortable making balanced decisions in a fast-paced, R&D-driven environment;Understands the operational nuances of PCR-based diagnostics or similar biotech manufacturing processes;Experience maintaining quality control standards without needing to redesign systems;Can function within a small site, coordinating closely with leadership in Leipzig.
