We believe in creating a healthy, learning environment for our employees to flourish.MISSIONSite Operation Manager (SOM) have to understand the site’s customers and have it controlled to ensure that the SLA is maintained. The highest priority mission is to prevent the P1 incidents. Control maintenance vendors and onsite operators by making them aware of the correct risk assessment decided within DC and instruct them to comply with HSE standards. Improve critical facilities and data centre environments, while also implement measures and having communication with customers to increase their satisfaction. Assists the Data Center Operation Manager (DCOM) role and acts as an alternate role in his absence.Key ResponsibilitiesBeing a SOM is not only responsible for facility management, but also need to provide technicalsupport with awareness of data centre operations. Key factors are as follows: Understand and have experience in managing critical facilities with redundant configurations.Has been involved in the management and construction of critical facilities. Data centers’ experience is preferable but it can be other critical facilities like hospitalsSupervise/Execute maintenance plans or renewal work for critical facilities throughout the yearBeing a SOM is not only responsible for facility management, but also need to provide thecontract side support with awareness of data centre operations. Key factors are as follows:Have the experience or understand how to plan and execute back-to-back contracts between customers and service providers.Experience and knowledge of SLA conditions for facility managementHave experience working for a foreign affiliated companyBeing a SOM, management of H&S is required. Key factors are as follows:Understand Japanese laws such as the Industrial Safety and Health LawExperience and knowledge of safety management, KY, Toolbox Meeting, LoToCreate risk assessments and procedure without issue for critical facilities work.Experience and knowledge of creating and executing not only procedure created by vendors for simple facility management, but also risk management.Have the experience or motivation to provide technical support to fulfil customer requestsTo propose better solution and design to pre-sales and customers proactively To retain and improve Health & Safety (H&S) and Quality Management.To plan and manage and complete vendor’s construction workTo make and assess vendor construction procedure and risk analysisTo update and check every Data Base (DB) and Customer Reports on time and proactively To communicate and collaborate project with the related teamOUTCOMESThe SOM reports to the DCOM and is responsible for the following:Take initiative for maintenance and operations (M&O), life cycle (renewal work), new construction, assist DCOM and supervise vendors. Have continuous improvement on these activities.Educate DC Operations new hires and assess FM onsite operators activity and performance.Evaluate new contracts.Plan and control budgeting and payments together with DCOM.Provides opinions and feedback to the design and PM teams from an operational standpoint.Perform incident management, change management, problem management, and control their tickets.Deal with security system incidents with DCOM and Site teamCommunicate with customers and strive to fulfil SLAs and contractual agreementsProvide support to the sales teamTHE TEAMSite Operations is an important work within the data centre involved in the operation of critical facilities. As SOM, this position will assist the DCOM in this operation and supervise the vendor by clarifying the process and procedures created. In addition to that, this position will also need to correctly select and implement technical aspects, contract conditions, maintenance conditions, risk management, etc. For day-to-day operation, perform incident management, change management, and problem management by guiding and supervise the vendors who perform 24-hour monitoring operations. Obtain quotation on a timely manner for site managers to effectively manage budgets, and review mid-long term budget planning details with each vendor.Will mainly interact with the following internal teams:COLT Operation team (Project Manager, Health and Safety, Security) / Transition Manager / COLT sales team / Legal Team / Procurement TeamCOLT Europe and India Central Team / Audit team / Joint Venture for Data Center New SitesCOLT Vendors and 3rd party Data Center ProvidersTHE SKILLS / EXPERTISE YOU BRING EssentialExperience in facilities management or construction of electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, building interior, fire protection equipment, security, BMS, etc. related to data centersOn-site construction management experience, ability, and cost management skillsExperience and ability to evaluate, plan and execute work procedures such as MOP/SOP/EOPExperience and ability in risk management and H&S managementAbility to check vendor quotations in detail.Oral proficiency in Japanese and English (daily conversational level)1st Class Electrical/Piping work Construction Management Engineer certification or equivalent knowledge DesirableWorking experience or having knowledge of Data Center Operation, telecom and construction industryDegree educated, or working towards a degree, or equivalent higher qualification Experience working on-site in the electrical equipment construction industry or infrastructure industryTOEIC Score: 600+
