Job DescriptionNote - This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 2 years based in Dominican RepublicThe Project Director will be responsible, working under the direction of Group Project Planning & Management Department, for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of all aspects of the Project. This includes managing Design, Tenders and Project scope, schedules, budget, quality, stakeholders and risk while ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards.Key Accountabilities Represent DP World GPPMD in all projects related activities Coordinating and reporting with the Head Office (GPPMD – VP Project Portfolio for AMR Region) on strategies and directions to be implemented on site. “Project Manage” the design, tender and implementation of the project, including Civil works, Equipment, IT, Security and systems implementation. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and GPPMD expectations. Liaise with DPW Caucedo stakeholders responsible for Operational activities to secure interface management with the Terminal operations. Control overall project schedule, budget and performance. Liaise and lead Consultants and Contractors Contracts Follow up progress of projects and expedite any remedial actions. Revise and approve Payment Reports from Contractors. Revise and approve Payments to Consultants and other related services being provided for the project. Prepare regular progress Reports for DP World (Head Office and Site Management Team). Develop and maintain updated GPPMD - PMO documentation. Develop and maintain updated Project Risk Registers following Department’s direction. Follow up permits and approvals Follow up actions required for compliance with “End User” requirements Coordinate with all relevant Authorities on the implementation of the Project’s Licenses. Liaise with Government Supervision Team Assure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures on the projects; as well as Environmental, Health and safety. Lead the project team through all phases of the construction project, from planning and design to execution and closeout. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations. Applicable if role has direct or indirect reports - responsible for the management and leadership of an engaged team, promoting collaboration and ensuring that each is developed and evaluated against goals and objectives which are aligned, specific, measurable, attainable yet challenging, realistic and time bound. Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies Perform other related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required, with preferably advance studies in Project Management At least 15 years of relevant experience in Project Management for large-scale construction projects in the maritime sector, including dredging works. Sound knowledge and experience with Construction Standards including FIDIC conditions of contract. Knowledge on Project Management scheduling tools Computer literate (Ms Office, Primavera, AutoCad) Effective communication skills in English and Spanish Strong understanding of design and build contracts, project management methodologies, and construction best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations. PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
