As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Node4s LogicMonitor deployment. This is an opportunity to utilize your technical prowess and problem-solving skills in maintaining robust data source collections and integrations, alongside creating dashboards and reports for enhanced data visibility and decision making.ObjectivesManage, support and develop the Node4 LogicMonitor platform helping internal teams and external customers make best use of the platform. What you would do & responsibilitiesAct as the primary subject matter expert for Node4s LogicMonitor deployment, keeping up to date with new releases of LogicMonitor and new features. Provide support and training to end users of the platform, helping them make best use of the platform. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to datasource collections, collector deployments, alerting rules and integrations, user accounts and access. Design, implement, and maintain LogicMonitor datasources to cover the evolving requirements of the business. Design and create dashboards and reports to expose the metrics to end user requirements ensuring data visibility and accessibility for decision making. Write scripts to extract data or perform bulk operations against LogicMonitor resources. Qualification/Certification requirementsAs Logicmonitor Subject Matter Expert you will need knowledge of many scripting languages and management systems. These include:Management Protocols: Proficient in network management protocols including: SNMP, WMI, REST and SOAP APIs, PowerShell, SyslogMonitoring and Incident Management: Strong understanding of alerting mechanisms and event management processes. Familiarity with ITIL best practices and frameworks. Knowledge of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) concepts and practices. Scripting and Development: Proficient in scripting languages including: GroovyScript for developing custom data sources in LogicMonitor. JavaScript for custom user facing API integrations. Python for automation, data manipulation, and scripting tasks.Technical Skills:Ability to design and implement monitoring solutions across various platforms. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to network and system monitoring.Knowledge of system performance metrics and data analysis techniques.Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. The role will also require you to hold and maintain the following qualifications:LogicMonitor CertifiedITIL v4 Foundation in IT Service Management Performance: Performance will be measured against a set of monthly, quarterly and annual targets and Key Performance Indicators. Reporting: The role reports to the Team Manager in the Technical Excellence Team, although interaction will be required with various departments across the business.
