We are currently looking off-platform for several roles for some of our key clients.Our Client:Our client an industry leading engineering rehabilitation business which has a strong history and is seeing continued growth. They focus on re-engineering and extending the life of ageing infrastructure assets by developing and delivering optimised Whole of Life (WOL) solutions.The business works across APAC and enhance a range of assets from wharves, bridges, buildings to general concrete, steel and timber structures. Our quality delivery service is mobile, flexible and efficient. They are looking for a Site Supervisor (ideally someone experienced working on sites where remedial work has taken place) who's also comfortable working on jobs and being hands-on (when/where required) but also managing subbies, support contractual claims, support the PMs.The Role:The Site Supervisor is a critical leadership role which requires the management of all project stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment is maintained, full compliance to the company's Integrated Management System is achieved, and project deliverables are met including time, budget, HSE, and quality objectives. Needs to work with managing subbies, support contractual claims, support the PMs with any remediation experience highly desired.The role will be Melbourne-based, but the ideal candidate will be open to do the odd bit of intra-state travel (as some jobs are outside the CBD/metro) and they need someone who's comfortable working hand on occasionally with jobs range from $50k to $15m. Key Responsibilities:Health, Safety, Environment: establish a ‘no harm’ culture and ensure this is maintained on site; conduct site risk assessments & implement appropriate controls; ensure full compliance with OH&S requirementsQuality Assurance: ensure that all workmanship to be of industry ‘best practice’ as well as that it is complete & accurate with quality records for all activities; full compliance with project specification requirementsFinancial Performance: meet project budgets; increase project revenue; minimize site expenditure; maintain knowledge of, and adherence to, contracted scope; engagement with Lessons Learnt & incorporation of results for forward worksManagement of Personnel: ensure that there is a high labour productivity and high site morale; sustain solid project understanding across the workforce; ensure a skilled & trained workforceManagement Subcontractors & Suppliers: verify quality workmanship from all subcontractors and liaise to ensure a high safety culture across subcontractors with well communicated expectations and material controlTime Management: schedule and plan the timing of all activities whilst having a good understanding of program performance as well as an early identification of program issues/slippageStock Management: manage Plant & Equipment as well as materials and ordersProject Stakeholders: maintain good communications with all relevant stakeholders and efficient issue resolutionAbout You:Relevant experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role (ideally within remediation or working on remediation projects)5+ years experience working in a civil engineering, remediation or construction environmentExtensive knowledge of concrete repair, CP, strengthening and coating techniques + cathodic protectionNo educational qualifications required but a trade certification, First Aid Certificate and Construction Industry OH&S Induction Card is preferredHave decision-making processes based on clear thinking and logic, not emotion or guesswork.Have an attitude that is cheerful and supportive; open to views of the crew members and engaged with their perspectives.The ability to listen objectively and analyse facts and situationsThe ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writingThe ability to work calmly and effectively under pressureThe ability to plan ahead and manage own and others' timeThe ability to deal with problems quickly, resourcefully and proactivelyNeeds valid Driving LicenseBasic computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project.Working knowledge of laws relating to OHS, environment & employment.What's on Offer + Company Perks:Be part of an organization that prides themselves on their high staff retention as they have a strong team culture, commitment to providing their employees a better lifestyleCompetitive remuneration package (AUD $140,000-$150,000 base salary + Car Allowance + Super)A 10% bonus scheme for all staff (assuming they perform and the company hits its financial targets) and an additional Employee Dividend Scheme for all high performersMelbourne-based role, but with the opportunity to do the odd bit of intra-state travel - some jobs outside the CBD/metroOpportunity to grow and enhance skills + progress in a successful, industry-leading businessSupportive management that will ensure you are a successJoin a well-established with an impressive project pipelinesGreat career opportunities in a growing companyHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume via the appropriate link - or contact Jonathan Lim directly on jonathanl@pursuited.com, or on 0409 060 459 for any further inquiries.
