Company DescriptionWe’re currently on the lookout for a passionate Programme Assistant to support several of our programme sites across Wellington. This role offers a great pathway into an Assistant Programme Manager position for the right candidate looking to grow their career with us. Who are we? sKids was founded in 1996 when two parents created a structured out of school care service for primary aged children. Now we’re New Zealand’s favourite kid’s hangout, welcoming over 3800 tamariki each day at over 170 school sites.

Some of the activities you can be involved in include day trips, cooking, arts & crafts, science, sports and so much more!Job DescriptionAbout the Role: Assist with day to day supervisory care and responsibility for programme deliveryManage parent and school liaisonAssist staff and your team membersSupervise and assist children in programme activities. Ensure that the working environment is kept clean, tidy, hygienic and safe for all children, staff, parents and visitors to the programme at all times.

Report back to the Programme Manager with any concerns regarding a child or behaviour issues etc. Hours of work: 6+ hours per week. This will be rostered mainly during the after school programme hours however there will be possibilities where you will also be scheduled to work during the before school programme hours. Monday - Friday onlyAfter school schedule: From/ Between 2. 30pm - 6pmBefore school schedule: 7am - 8. 30amHoliday Programme hours available for this site for longer hours. Location of work: Successful applicant must be able to work at the sites below. Preferred candidate must have access to a vehicle.

Must have access to a vehicle to work around the 5 sites above. Previous experience working with children or working in the childcare/ education sector.

Previous experience in organizing before and after school programs is highly beneficial. A strong communicator as you will be the face between sKids and the parents. A strong team playerA Valid NZ work/student visa or is a NZ resident or citizen. In order to comply with Social Security (Childcare Assistance) Regulations 2004, only applicants over the age of 20 years can be considered for this role.
