Position: Offshore Remote Skilled Intake CoordinatorLocation: Remote (Must work EST hours, 8 AM – 5 PM)Job Overview:The Intake Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting patients with the home health services they need for optimal recovery and well-being. This position is responsible for reviewing all incoming referrals, verifying insurance, and ensuring that patients receive timely, high-quality care. The Intake Coordinator reports directly to the Intake and Scheduling Manager and serves as a key liaison between patients, referral sources, and internal staff.Key Responsibilities:Process and manage incoming referrals for home health services.Verify patients’ insurance benefits and communicate coverage details clearly.Obtain authorizations for services when required.Review referral documents to ensure all information is complete for care initiation.Collaborate with the marketing and care coordination teams to ensure timely and compliant start of care.Conduct welcome calls to new patients to provide a positive first impression.Accurately enter patient information, including demographics, physician, and insurance details, into the EMR system.Confirm physician supervision for each patient’s care plan.Support a high-performing environment focused on quality and patient satisfaction.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.Qualifications:1–2 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or home health setting.Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification, and benefit interpretation.Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.Experience with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.Comfortable working with computers and different health information systems.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and efficiently during EST hours (8 AM – 5 PM).Preferred Skills:English Fluency is a MUST.Familiarity with home health regulations and patient intake procedures.Knowledge of insurance billing and authorization processes.Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Benefits (eligible after probation period):Laptop provided for work.Headphones included.Office chair for comfort.Internet cost compensation.Gym reimbursement.Tuition reimbursement.
