If you’re a skilled and safety-conscious labourer who takes pride in your work and wants steady, long-term employment, join McNab — a team that backs its people and builds with purpose.Based in Toowoomba, you’ll enjoy the stability of permanent, ongoing work across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects in and around the region — with the support of an experienced, down-to-earth team who take pride in doing things safely and well.From multi-residential to industrial and social housing builds, there’s always something new and rewarding to get involved in.At McNab, we offer career pathways for those wanting to progress in construction — many of our senior leaders started on the tools and worked their way up to become Foremen, Site Managers, Project Managers, and Construction Managers.DutiesYou’ll carry out a variety of general labouring and site support tasks across different project types — no two days are the same!Key Duties IncludeAssisting trades and site teams with materials, setup, and clean-upOperating plant and equipment safely and efficientlyTraffic management duties as requiredForklift and telehandler operation (ticketed personnel only)Spotting for machinery and assisting with lifts and deliveriesSite housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environmentYou’ll AlsoFollow all site safety and environmental proceduresWork effectively in a team and adapt to changing site environmentsTake pride in producing high-quality work every dayWhat We’re Looking ForExperienced Skilled LabourersTickets ideal but not essential:ForkliftTelehandlerTraffic Control (Implement and/or Stop–Slow)Construction White Card (essential)Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportSafety-focused and team-oriented attitudePhysically fit and capable of manual workMotivated with a strong work ethic and professionalismIn ReturnCompetitive hourly rate with consistent full-time hours and overtime opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunities to gain more tickets and broaden your skillsDaily Travel Allowance (paid regardless of work location)PPE Allowance: $500 per financial year (reimbursed with receipts for standard PPE)Health & Fitness Subsidy: $250 per year (toward gym, activewear, fishing gear, etc.)Birthday Leave: 1 paid day off in addition to 4 weeks’ annual leave and 10 days’ sick leaveBanked Hours: Any hours worked beyond 38 in a week may be banked or paid out laterPaid Travel Time: For work on sites more than 40km from your base McNab office (Toowoomba)Support and systems that make it easy to do your best work — and go home safe every dayAbout UsMcNab is one of the largest Construction, Development, and Property Groups in Australia, now turning over more than $1bn annually.
