Role: API Management Architect Type: Permanent Location: Malmo, Sweden (Hybrid)The API Management Architect will be a senior engineer responsible for implementing and managing large-scale Azure APIM platforms. This role involves API Management platform design, advising on architectural direction, lifecycle management, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. Roles and Responsibilities: * Lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure API Management (APIM) platforms. * Develop and maintain architectural artifacts for API Management solutions. * Define API policies, security standards, and governance for Azure APIM. * Ensure the API Management platform is scalable, reliable, and secure. * Collaborate with API developers, consumers, and other stakeholders.
* Advise on API lifecycle management and best practices. * Monitor and optimize the performance of the Azure APIM platform. Years of Experience: 8-10+ yearsPrimary Skillset: Azure API Management (APIM), API design (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), API security (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT), Azure cloud services. Secondary Skillset: Other API Gateway products, Microservice architecture, CI/CD for APIs, PowerShell/Azure CLI. Must-have Skills: * Proven experience in implementing and managing large-scale Azure APIM platforms. * Deep understanding of API design principles and security best practices. * Strong knowledge of Azure networking and security services relevant to APIM.
* Experience with API policy configuration and management in Azure APIM. Good-to-have Skills: * Microsoft Azure certifications (e. g. , Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate). * Experience with other API management platforms. * Knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
