Responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including the dispatch of goods, management of raw materials, and handling of finished goods. The Assistant Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in managing the flow of materials and goods within the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations, accurate inventory management, and timely delivery to customers while adhering to safety, security, and regulatory requirementsJob Description: Dispatch Management: • Ensure the accuracy and efficient dispatch of goods, to have timely delivery to customers or other warehouses/locations.
• Manages schedule of transportation and logistics for outbound shipments, optimizing routes and modes of transport to minimize costs and meet delivery deadlines. Raw Materials Management: • Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of raw materials and components received from suppliers. • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, tracking quantities, locations, and expiration dates where applicable. • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and optimize inventory turnover. Finished Goods Handling: • Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of finished goods produced within the organization. • Organize warehouse space efficiently to accommodate finished goods inventory, maximizing storage capacity and accessibility.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods to ensure the rotation and timely distribution of finished goods. Inventory Control: • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity. • Implement inventory management systems or software to track inventory movements, monitor stock levels, and generate reports for analysis. • Identify and resolve discrepancies or variances in inventory records through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Warehouse Safety and Security:
• Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for warehouse staff and visitors and implement security measures to prevent theft, damage, or loss of inventory, such as surveillance systems, access controls, and inventory security tagging. Team Leadership and Training: • Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and performance targets. • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team. Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement within warehouse operations, such as layout redesign, workflow optimization, or automation implementation.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction Customer Service: • Liaise with customer service or sales teams to address customer inquiries, resolve order discrepancies, and ensure timely order fulfillment. • Monitor key performance indicators related to warehouse operations, such as order accuracy,on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction metrics. Regulatory Compliance: • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing warehouse operations, including health and safety regulations, environmental regulations, and product handling requirements. Education: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Graduates with 6-8 years of Experience in Air Conditioning field preferably with International Brands. Skills & Experience:
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (Arabic is an added advantage). • Goal-oriented and organized team player with good leadership and analytical skills. • Ability to multitask, set priorities, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
