Director, Maintenance and Engineering

SkyCity is seeking a Director, Maintenance and Engineering to oversee maintenance operations at our airports, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability. This leadership role involves managing our third-party O&M service provider, maintaining critical airport infrastructure, and developing long-term capital improvement plans. All of the day-to-day maintenance and engineering services will be provided by a third-party O&M service provider. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, enforce high safety standards, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure seamless airport functionality. Key Responsibilities include: Oversee third-party O&M service provider, ensuring contract compliance and optimal service delivery.

Develop and implement maintenance programs for airside and landside infrastructure, including power, water, telecommunications, and building systems. Development in coordination with our O&M services provider the annual O&M budget. Ensure strict adherence to FAA Part 139 regulations and other applicable codes. Development in coordination with our client and O&M services provider the annual Airport Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP), for both airfield and building assets. Lead capital improvement initiatives, managing project planning, budgeting, and execution. Maintain strong relationships with airlines, airport tenants, and regulatory agencies. Monitor service provider performance to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness and contract compliance.

Provide technical guidance on operational and engineering matters. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements in coordination with SkyCity HSE department. Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience in maintenance and engineering leadership. Expertise in airport maintenance, airline operations, and regulatory compliance including property management and the administration of leases, licenses and contracts. Proven experience in capital planning, contract administration, and infrastructure management. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
