Job DescriptionAs required by our governmental client, this position requires an active secretclearance to be considered. A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify. SME Senior Cultural Advisor will support the Political section at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. This Advisor role will provide review and edit of political and other thematic reports from Iraqi Cultural Advisors (ICA); and consolidate the information for final review by the section. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME) - SENIOR CULTURAL ADVISOR - POLITICAL (AN) Responsibilities Include:Preparing comprehensive summary by providing a typed, concise, and accurate synopsis of oral or written communications that contains the identity of the speakers or correspondents, and all locations and events mentioned that pertain to the subject of the communicationOversee, gather, consolidate, and edit reports collected from Iraqi Cultural Advisors dailyReview ICA reports for accuracy to accomplish overall objectives and thoroughness of analyses and reportingPrepare and present reports and analysis at the operational and strategic levels in conjunction with Political OfficersIndependently identify information in the areas of interest and concern to the U.S. Mission in IraqResearch and provide information on inquiries regarding political section related topicsDevelop and maintain solid professional and cultural relationship with the customer and IraqiPerforms other job-related duties as assignedSUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SME) - SENIOR CULTURAL ADVISOR - POLITICAL (AN) Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:Strong background in the following areas: Iraq analysis, Middle East analysis, Political analysisMust be proficient in utilizing basic computer applications and related automation to support analytical efforts and product developmentc.
