This is an in-training role as the role is currently filled by the CEO with the intention of the right candidate taking the reigns!About the Role: As Sales Director, you'll work directly with our team of Sales Engineers and Project Managers to lead sales strategy, coach performance, and build lasting customer relationships across Texas and Oklahoma. You’ll report to the CEO but have the freedom to shape your approach and make the role your own. This is not a plug-and-play corporate job.

Worth, Waco, Austin, or Houston)Travel: This role is customer facing and would require travel to to meet with various customers across the state as well as, leading the sales team. What You’ll Do:
Lead weekly planning, drive performance, and support your team in hitting sales goals Present technical products and services to customers with clarity and confidence Guide pump sizing, estimating, and application engineering Solve real-world customer challenges with practical, profitable solutions Manage and grow long-term customer relationships Track and manage sales orders and ensure service excellence Serve as a culture carrier for Smith Pump’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values What You Bring: Required:
A strong, independent work ethic with a passion for solving customer problems Excellent people skills—communication, presentation, and relationship-building Solid mechanical reasoning and an interest in pumps and rotating machinery A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or comparable technical experience in the industry) Proficiency in Microsoft Office + CRM software High personal integrity, self-direction, and attention to detail Preferred: Experience in pump or rotating equipment sales Background working with municipalities, industrial clients, or contractors Why Join Smith Pump: Autonomy: This role gives you the freedom to build your own success path Impact:
