Title: Sale and Purchase Broker (LPG Tankers)Location: Copenhagen, Denmark, EUSalary: Negotiable (Newly Created Position)Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by an established and trusted S&P brokerage in Copenhagen as they seek to capitlise on long standing relationships in the Chemical Tankers space.Our client is vastly experienced in the tanker S&P markets with deep rooted relationships across Europe and Asia and is seeking to continue their growth via the addition of an LPG sale and purchase business unit. As part of this project, they are seeking an early-career professional with a good knowledge of the LPG market, seeking to make a move into the shipbrokerage / ship broker markets.Due to a robust existing business and long-running/exclusive accounts, our client has the ability and desire to train the right person in the commercial requirements of a brokerage role in the LPG space, and is seeking a motivated and coachable individual with a genuine desire to grow into a sale and purchase shipbrokerage position.Benefits: Long term career growth/in-house training and supportEstablished and well regarded business with longstanding relationships in the chemical tanker marketsExposure to new geographical marketsMany opportunities for international travelQuality driven environmentSmall and dynamic team structure with autonomy and teamwork in equal measure Duties & Responsibilities: Build relationships with counterparties in the LPG space in Europe and Asia, utilising the firms well established and deep network within the chemical tanker sector globallyDrive revenue in the S&P and long-term charter space for LPG carriers/LPG tankersWork with senior management on developing the LPG business unit with existing counterparties/tonnage providers in the Asian marketsEstablish a strong network in the secondhand market whilst pushing long term charter deals with LPG counterpartiesAttend industry events/conferences and client premises for relationship building and developmentExperience & Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in an LPG focused role, either front office or middle/back officeSolid understanding of LPG as an asset class with good technical/fundamental understanding of the productSelf-starting and motivated from a commercial angle, with a genuine desire to grow into a commercial function within the LPG spaceA good market knowledge/counterparty knowledge in the LPG sector with charterers (such as Equinor, Naftomar, Geogas, Exmar, Unigas, Petredec etc.) is beneficial but not requiredUnderstanding of sale and purchase busniess is a benefitPrior commercial/brokerage or sales experience or attributes that lend themselves well to front-office rolesOutgoing/personable approach with a motivation to meet new people and establish new business relationshipsIf this opportunity matches your experience and career ambitions, please send your CV/Resume to Zuzana Zvolenská at zuzana.zvolenska@imperiumcs.com or click the apply button.All enquiries are treated with the strictest confidentiality.
