ResponsibilitiesUphold and respect the human, legal and constitutional rights of each person who uses the service,Facilitate, encourage and develop the choice and decision-making skills of people who use the services. Ensure a person centred approach to service deliveryAssist with fostering, encouraging and developing each individual supported by the services' self-care skills, particularly in relation to personal hygiene, health matters and care for their personal appearance.
Essential Qualifications & RequirementsAuthorised to work in IrelandFull 8 modules Level 5 QQI in Social Care / Healthcare OR Nursing. Fluent English requiredCandidates must have 1 years' experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilitiesAn ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported. Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. A full driver's licence and availability of own car is an essential requirement.
Knowledge of HIQA Regulations and Standards and the relevant regulative frameworkAn understanding of the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE.
