Peak Retreats, the leading French Alps specialist, is looking to recruit a full of part-time Social Media and Email Marketing Executive. We are the current holder of the Telegraph Travel award for Best Ski Operator which is our most recent award in a string of accolades. We are also proud to be the first and only employee-owned ski holiday company in the UK.Social Media & Email Marketing ExecutiveReporting to the Marketing Director, the role of Social Media and Email Marketing Executive is ideal for someone wishing to explore and develop their skills across a wide range of marketing disciplines with particular responsibility for email and social media. You will be a key member of the marketing team, and as such, have the opportunity to input on and assist with a range of marketing projects. The main responsibilities of the job include: Creation and implementation of the social media and email marketing content calendars, ensuring they complement and contribute to the wider marketing plan to ensure a joined-up approach across all channels.Producing regular email newslettersThe creation of targeted emails (taking targeting recommendations from the Digital Marketing Executive)The creation of other direct marketing materials including post-booking emails, and emails for funnels and journeysWriting copy for the appropriate channelsBuilding simple customer journeysBuilding our newsletter audience including the creation of lead magnetsThe delivery of other eCRM materialsResponsibility for content planning, creation and engagement on social media channels (at present mainly Facebook and Instagram, occasionally X)Creation, management and delivery of social media advertising activities including Facebook and Instagram – improving brand awareness and driving enquiriesEnsuring that all content reflects Peak Retreats’ brand identity, tone of voice and values.Creating content that supports client retention as well as attracting and engaging new clients.Creation of ad hoc content (blogs or web content) to support the content calendarCreating marketing material & support literature production (e.g. working with the rest of the marketing team on the brochure)Developing your own product knowledge as our programme evolves/growsKeeping up to date with marketing trends and best practiceWe are looking for someone with:A creative mindset and not afraid to bring new ideas to the tableA flair for design Excellent literacy and copywriting skillsExceptional attention to detail with ability to proofread own workStrong organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to juggle multiple tasks at any one time, to be flexible and to reprioritise as necessaryAn understanding of marketing in generalCommercial acumenSelf-motivated, proactive, can-do attitudeExperience working with social media platformsA passion for skiingDesirable qualities/skills/experience:Experience of creating marketing emailsExperience of tools such as CRMs, Canva, UmbracoAny French language skills would be a bonusBenefits:Normal working hours are 9-5.30 Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch however there is some flexibility to make this a part time role Flexible working requests considered Familiarisation trips to the French AlpsWork for an Employee-Owned Company where your individual contribution is valued28 days annual leave per year, increasing up to 33 days with service plus your birthday off from day oneFree parkingThis role is based in Portsmouth. To apply: If you feel you have the right experience and skills and would like to apply for this position email Nicola Moss nicola@peakretreats.com and tell us why you feel you are the candidate we are looking for.
