Our vision is to empower individuals through yoga, fostering peace and hope in their lives.Our Mission We are committed to providing free yoga classes to at-risk and underserved men, women, and youth in Melbourne and, in the future, throughout Australia.Our Values Sustainable Service, Adaptability, Courage, Commitment, Respect, Community, Openness, Integrity.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Communications Coordinator to develop and implement the social media strategy.Create and curate engaging content for various platforms to grow our audience and drive engagement. -Attend events and produce real-time social media content (e.g. live posts, stories, behind-the-scenes).Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social channels.Stay up to date with social media trends, tools, and best practices relevant to our audience and mission.Engage with followers by responding to messages, inquiries, and comments in a timely and respectful manner.Track performance metrics and provide regular reports to help refine strategy.Participate in quarterly team meetings (a mix of virtual and in-person; attendance is encouraged but not compulsory).Experience And SkillsPassion for social media, with proficiency across major platforms (Facebook, Instagram & Linkedin) and scheduling/management tools.Skills in photo and video editing, using tools such as Canva, with an understanding of digital media formats.Personal experience with or interest in yoga (desirable).Interest in or experience with the not-for-profit/community sector (desirable).Personal Attributes & CapabilitiesEthical: Acts with integrity and sound judgement; aligns with Yogahood Australia's values.Self-Disciplined: Highly motivated and able to work independently; demonstrates strong time management skills.Collaborative: Builds positive working relationships; works effectively with others to achieve shared goals.Organised: Manages tasks and priorities efficiently; meets deadlines and handles competing demands.Innovative: Brings fresh ideas and seeks opportunities to improve processes and engagement.Determined: Sets clear goals, explores solutions, and persists through challenges.Apply If you are interested in joining our mission to make yoga accessible to all, please apply by including your CV or LinkedIn profile along with a cover letter.Yogahood is a diverse organisation.
