It’s a Hybrid role if you live in the Central Illinois area, which requires you to be in the Peoria, IL office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with the option to work from home Monday and Friday.As a Social Media Director at Simantel, my objective is:To lead social activation for our clients while building and scaling social media as a true service line for the agency. I bring a “social-first” mindset into creative, strategy, and content development, ensuring that Simantel remains at the forefront of the evolving digital landscape.The outcomes I need to produce for clients are:Clients achieve measurable growth in awareness, engagement, and conversions through social media activationsClients trust Simantel to deliver strategic, timely, and trend-driven campaigns that reflect a true social-first approachClients receive proactive recommendations that align with emerging platforms and consumer behaviors, with clarity on when to leverage internal capabilities or external specialists for maximum resultsPartner with client engagement and creative leads to ensure social strategies are seamlessly integrated into existing campaigns and client programs, enhancing overall impactThe outcomes I need to produce for the agency are:Social media becomes a fully defined and scaled service line, integrated across client engagementsSimantel is recognized as an agency that brings social-first thinking to every aspect of creative and strategic developmentInternal teams gain confidence and capability in delivering social-first strategies through my leadership, mentorship, and thought leadershipTo produce these outcomes, I need to:Lead the activation of social media campaigns across industries, ensuring best-in-class deliveryServe as Simantel’s in-house expert on social media, helping teams’ level up their knowledge and approachStay “in the know” about trends, emerging platforms, and shifts in audience behavior – and bring forward the right opportunities for clients at the right timeDetermine when to leverage Simantel’s internal expertise and when to engage external specialists to optimize resultsChampion a social-first mindset across creative, strategy, and content developmentMentor and lead social media team members while collaborating cross-functionally with client engagement, creative, and analytics teamsDefine KPIs for campaigns and report on results, using insights to refine and evolve strategiesThe skills and abilities I require are:Deep expertise in social media strategy, content, activation, and paid/organic integrationStrong leadership and people management abilities to scale both a team and a service lineExceptional ability to educate and elevate peers, serving as a trusted internal authorityAbility to lead and collaborate on social media concepting around strategy and content typesAptitude in collaborating with social influencers and other vendors to support content creationProficiency in identifying and evaluating emerging platforms, tools, and trendsStrong client-facing communication and presentation skillsExperience with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, platform-native insights)To produce these outcomes, I have decision-making authority over the following:Development and execution of client-specific social media strategiesRecommendations for when to use internal vs. external resourcesAllocation of paid vs. organic strategies within campaignsInternal education and recommendations on emerging social opportunitiesDeclining initiatives that do not align with social-first strategy or client outcomesLeading indicators of my success are:Growth in key client social metrics (engagement, reach, conversions)Expansion of Simantel’s social media capabilities within client engagementsIncreased confidence and skill in social-first thinking across internal teamsPositive post-engagement satisfaction scores from clients and internal collaboratorsLong-term indicators of my success are:Social media recognized as a scalable, profitable service line for SimantelClient retention and growth tied to social media strategy and activationSimantel’s reputation as an agency at the forefront of social-first marketingBy applying to Simantel and uploading your resume, you are opting-in to receive communications from Simantel regarding your application.Simantel offers an attractive compensation package, which includes competitive salary, 401(k) plan, PTO, flexible work arrangements, holiday pay, and a comprehensive benefits program.We are an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
