In this internship, you will be able to gain new skills, look for insights for the diverse needs of the communities we serve, develop a storytelling point of view, and build a portfolio of content. This is an ideal learning opportunity for aspiring social media professionals with a passion for environmental conservation, particularly focused on community forestry, botany, urban green infrastructure, or volunteer-based nonprofits.Collaborate with the team to develop and execute social media strategies that expand brand visibility and engagement across various platforms.Assist in the development of high-quality content for our social media platforms, blog, and website.Monitor Trees Atlanta’s social media channels and engage and grow target audiences.Develop and post written content to the website blog.Manage and organize photographs, ensuring efficient file structuring and naming.Conduct market research on potential community partners and digital collaborators. Other marketing or administrative duties as assigned. Complete 12-15 work hours per week on average.RequirementsRelevant work experience or currently enrolled as a college Sophomore, Junior, or Senior studying a related field. Commitment to Trees Atlanta’s mission and programs and the ability to present our work in an engaging and interesting way to various audiences.Knowledge of social media platforms; such as, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok. Experience using software tools for content creation and management (Meta Business Manager, Canva, CapCut, etc) is a plus.Passion for digital marketing and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies.Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Capable of working both independently and with a team.Self-motivated, good organizational and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.Ease collaborating with Google productivity tools, including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Sheets, Google Meet, etc.Work on premise at our office located at 825 Warner St. SW; some remote work may be scheduled.To ApplyPlease submit an employment application.
