This role is designed for someone fluent in platform culture, who understands both climate and technology narratives, and knows how to translate complex work into sharp, engaging content.Youll be responsible for growing audiences, increasing engagement, and ensuring that BCIs digital presence remains timely, credible, and on-message.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & ExecutionLead BCIs social media strategy across X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platformsDevelop and manage a flexible editorial calendar balancing campaign content with real-time responsesEnsure all content reflects BCIs tone, priorities, and strategic communication goalsCoordinate with the Senior Communications Manager on narrative development and cross-platform messagingLaunch, manage, and report on multi-channel campaigns for events, policy work, publications, and partnershipsOptimise all visual and written content for platform-specific engagement and accessibilityReal-Time EngagementMonitor climate news, policy developments, and tech trends to engage in timely conversationsLive-tweet and provide social coverage during events like COP, ISO meetings, or global summitsBuild and maintain relationships with partner orgs, journalists, and climate-tech stakeholders via social channelsCreative CollaborationWork with Graphic Designers and Video Editors to brief and adapt visual content for each platformShape Instagram Reels, Stories, Threads, and Twitter/X posts into cohesive campaignsProvide creative input into copy, layout, and platform experimentsMentor junior volunteers contributing to BCI social mediaExperience And SkillsProven experience managing social media accounts for a nonprofit, advocacy, or policy-driven organisationExceptional short-form writing skills for platforms like Twitter and InstagramStrong visual instincts; familiarity with layout, timing, and mobile-first storytellingDemonstrated ability to lead fast-paced content cycles from idea to postFamiliarity with engagement analytics and platform metricsTools & PlatformsComfortable using tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, or SproutBasic skills in Canva, Adobe Express, or Figma for resizing or visual prepFamiliarity with Trello and Teams collaboration toolsUnderstanding of digital accessibility and visual equity principlesWhat Youll GainInfluence over the public voice of a climate-tech policy organisationOpportunities to shape campaigns tied to global forums, emerging climate markets, and blockchain use casesExperience working with an international, fast-paced communications teamA portfolio of visible, impactful work in the global climate space#J-18808-Ljbffr
