While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Paris so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.This role is a 12-Month contract, working full-time hours.About The RoleWe’re looking for a creative and strategic storyteller to shape how Canva shows up on social in France. In this role, you’ll own Canva’s local social presence from the ground up; creating culturally relevant, scroll-stopping content that connects, entertains, and inspires.This is a hybrid role for someone who blends content craft with platform expertise, and who’s just as confident ideating as they are publishing, engaging, and iterating. You don’t wait to brief...you’re the type to shoot, write, edit, and post if it means getting something great out the door fast.You’ll bring a sharp understanding of local culture, trends and creators, and know how to translate that into platform-native content that builds community and brand love.What You’ll DoOwn and operate Canva’s local social media presence end-to-end; from strategy and ideation, to creation, publishing, engagement, and reportingCollaborate with local agencies, freelancers, creators and influencers to bring fresh, relevant ideas to lifeBe a local culture-vulture: spotting trends and jumping on moments that matter in real-timeEngage with your audience to spark conversation, build community, and fuel connectionLocalise global campaigns and assets to feel real and relevant for your audienceWork closely with local cross-functional teams to align on strategy and market goalsTrack performance, gather insights, and iterate quickly to improve what landsBe a brand guardian — upholding Canva’s tone of voice and values across all channelsWhat We're Looking ForExtensive experience in social media, with a focus on content creation and community engagement idealA creator mindset: you’re comfortable shooting, editing, writing, designing, and posting your own contentDeep platform knowledge, especially of TikTok and Instagram, with an instinct for what works where and whyA strong eye for design and storytelling, with hands-on experience using Canva to bring ideas to lifeA sharp sense of what’s trending (and what’s tired) in your local culture and social landscapeExperience collaborating with agencies, freelancers, creators, communities and cross-functional marketing teamsStrong written and verbal communication skills, and confidence using English for day-to-day collaboration with teamAnalytical thinking, with the ability to draw insights from content performance and optimise accordinglyProficiency with tools like Canva (of course), Sprout Social, Looker, Google Suite, and other social publishing/reporting toolsHighly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentAbout The TeamYou’ll be part of the International Marketing group, working closely with the local France team and the global social media team.
