About This OpportunityAs our Social Media Manager, you’ll be the voice behind our online presence, telling the incredible stories of our participants and volunteers. Your goal? To inspire, engage, and grow our community through creative social media content!DutiesPost Daily: Share at least one post per day across our social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to promote our activities, spotlight volunteers, and celebrate community wins!Share Stories: Capture the magic happening in our community—stories, photos, videos—and showcase the heart and soul of what we do.Know Our Activities: Stay in the loop with our weekly walks, games, crafts, and special events like Respect Works 2026.Partner Promotion: Highlight our amazing community partners and their events when relevant.Strategy Development: Help us build a social media strategy that increases engagement, and educate our team on the power of social media so they can share content too!Team Collaboration: Work closely with our chairperson, secretary, and volunteers to ensure our messaging is on point.The role requires some participation in our NFP community and regular engagement with our chairperson / secretary. Social Media Savvy: You’re a whiz on platforms like Facebook & Instagram and can create eye-catching posts with tools like Canva or Publisher. Creative & Compassionate: You bring a fun, kind, and approachable attitude to your work and know how to tell a great story. A Self-Starter: You’re able to work independently but love collaborating with a supportive team. Bonus: Familiarity with the Ellenbrook Mile is a plus!
