And we’re just getting started!OverviewThe Social Media Operations Specialist will support the back-end infrastructure of the Planet Fitness social media ecosystem, with a focus on managing platform tools and systems that power both national and local digital channels. This role will be responsible for working closely with our social media team, social media vendors, and internal teams to maintain API connections, ensure data integrity and consistent functionality across all tools and platforms.Key responsibilities include tracking and maintaining platform permissions, verifying local page integrations, troubleshooting access issues, and supporting the data hygiene and technical setup required for scalable social media and business listing execution. This position will also partner cross-functionally with public relations and external customer service agencies to enable success in managing member outreach and brand reputation across all digital platforms.This role will be based out of our Hampton, NH office and will be expected to follow our hybrid work schedule.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and monitor back-end integrations and API connections across national and local social media platformsTrack and manage user access and permissions within Meta Business Manager, TikTok Business Center, and other social platform dashboardsSupport onboarding and maintenance of local club pages, ensuring proper connection to publishing and analytics systemsTroubleshoot access, connection, and tagging issues with external partners and platform support teamsPartner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate data flow across Salesforce, Sprinklr, and other digital toolsMaintain up-to-date documentation of platform workflows, processes, and permissionsIdentify and recommend opportunities for operational and systems improvementsAct as the liaison between external business listing partners/tools and franchisees, Field Marketing, Operations and other internal stakeholdersKeeps watch of all social media activities related to the brand and works alongside external and internal partners to enable great member experiences and minimize risk to the brandLeads club page expansion and reputation management and online listing needsManage the full credential lifecycle for all social media accounts and related integrations (Meta Business Manager, TikTok Business Center, Sprinklr, Salesforce, etc.): create, rotate, revoke, and store login credentials securelyOwn the local activation of comped memberships for agency partners, creators, PFFs, and influencersEnsure timely delivery of Meta leads to local teams.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related discipline2+ years of experience in social media or digital marketingPassionate user of social media & digital technologies with strong knowledge of social media best practicesExcellent writing, proofreading, and copy/editing skillsStrong computer literacy (Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, Google Drive and Microsoft Office)Experience collaborating across departments and teams in high pressure situationsStrong attention to detail, efficient, and organized with an ability to establish priorities and objectivesExcellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationAble to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externallyDedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growthExhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environmentCooperative team player with an upbeat, positive, “can-do” attitude!
