This is a 6-hour daily position focused on core Social Studies.Key DetailsPosition: Online High School Social Studies TeacherHours: 6 hours per dayLocation: Remote / OnlineGrade Levels: 6–12Subjects: History, Civics/Political Science, Geography, EconomicsCore ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, live virtual lessons for all assigned subjects (History, Civics, Geography, Economics).Integrate current events and digital resources to make learning relevant and promote critical thinking.Utilize diverse instructional methods (e.g., discussions, debates, virtual field trips, project-based learning) to support different learning styles.Facilitate lively and respectful classroom discussions on complex and sensitive socio-political topics.Administer and grade assessments, including quizzes, essays, projects, and exams.Provide timely, constructive, and personalized feedback to guide student progress.Use the Learning Management System (LMS) and video-conferencing tools effectively for instruction, assignments, and classroom management.Maintain regular communication with students and parents/guardians regarding performance and expectations.Participate in occasional virtual faculty meetings and required professional development sessions.Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Social Science, Education, or a related field.Minimum 3 years of proven experience teaching Social Studies in an online or traditional classroom.Strong ability to teach History, Civics, Geography, and Economics.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong virtual classroom management skills.Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to meet diverse learner needs.Strong cultural competence and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
