About us:Amach is an industry-leading technology driven company with headquarters located in Dublin and remote teams in UK and Europe.Our blended teams of local and nearshore talent are optimised to deliver high quality and collaborative solutions.Established in 2013, we specialise in cloud migration and development, digital transformation including agile software development, DevOps, automation, data and machine learning… We are looking to recruit a Software Architect who will play a pivotal role in our customer's technology team They'll define the technical direction and strategy within our customer's technology landscape designing innovative, all-encompassing solutions on a range of customer facing platforms.The successful candidate can expect to:Contribute to a growing team focused on delivering valuable features within agile product teams and value streamsSupport in the transformation to becoming a data driven organisationHave your work seen and used on one of the busiest mobile & websites in IrelandPlease note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's Dublin office twice per week.Key responsibilities & duties include:Gain in-depth technical knowledge of existing architectures, standards, and principles across integration layers, domain-driven design, operational data stores, and event-driven systems, enabling delivery of key business initiativesTake ownership of your respective area within our customer's ecosystem and direction of the product/domainLead technical teams through multi-phased delivery projects and provide hands-on guidance to influence standards for development, governance and operational life cycleDemonstrate a foundational understanding of emerging technologies (such as Artificial Intelligence), event-driven systems and identify opportunities to accelerate development, improve product capabilities, or drive innovation across technology domainsContribute to IT strategy, API governance, standards and technological evaluations to drive our strategic goalsCollaborate with technical teams to instil CI & Development best practicesDevelop POC’s and perform code reviews with a focus on design principles, simple testable code and quality at the foreSupport and mentor technical teams to encourage growth & foster an innovative and inquisitive development culturePromote continuous learning so that the skill level of the department continues to improve and deliver more effectivelyPartner with product teams to deliver solutions that improve business capabilities and support engineering planning for schedules and inter-team dependenciesRequired skills & qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent formal trainingExperience in multiple technology disciplines working in high performing environments and teamsContinuous build/integration mindset and experience reducing lead time to market for feature development (Jenkins, Gradle, BitBucket)Extensive experience working with Java technologies, Spring Framework and REST servicesDemonstrable design knowledge, including API design principles, SOA, event driven systems and similar design patterns and techniquesStrong knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architectureExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable to present technical information to a non-technical audienceAbility to lead, mentor & motivate developers to ensure high quality code deliverables & practicesImpeccable written & oral communication skillsDesirable skills & qualifications:AWS Certification and/or experience of solutioning for CloudExperience working within Architectural frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, IASA, Archimate or hold equivalent certificationExperience with applying architecture & working in an agile environmentKnowledge of high volume e-Commerce/retail and Services architecturesPrevious experience of Microservices architecture an advantageExperience with leading technical teams using Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies What’s in it for you: An opportunity to join a fast-growing company  Options for career advancement Learning and development opportunities Flexible working environmentCompetitive salaries based on experience Equal Opportunity Employer:Amach is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
