Enhance humanity. Engage society" by developing a robust software platform, on one hand to enable inventors and business owners to “test” their products and services in a virtual environment before deploying to the physical Woven City and other sites; on the other hand, to create analytics to assist in decision making based on both simulated results and more importantly operational data collected from the physical city, such as residents daily life, traffic dynamics, energy consumption, etc.For more information about Woven City, please visit: https://www.woven-city.global/WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for a passionate tech leader who loves the vision of the digital twin platform and can guide the team in building and delivering an innovative cloud-based simulation product. We expect you to have a strong technical background in software development, platform architecture, and a proven track record of leveraging common libraries and existing solutions (both open source and commercial) to deliver innovative technical solutions. You should also have the experience to effectively collaborate across functions and organizations internally and externally to deliver measurable results.You will report to the lead of the function and its workplace type is hybrid.ResponsibilitiesDesign scalable, robust, and secure software architecture aligned with business goalsDefine and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelinesLead architectural decision-making across development teams and provide technical directionEvaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, best practices and tools for software developmentConduct design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standardsCreate high-level design documentation and ensure proper technical specificationsMentor engineers and promote best practicesMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a lead or architect roleExperience designing and implementing distributed cloud native systems with deep understanding of system design patterns, APIs, microservices, and cloud architectures, data storage paradigms, etc. Stakeholder management skills with excellent communicationPractical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps toolingProficient in business level EnglishNICE TO HAVESExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with security frameworks and secure coding principles and proven ability to implement application-level security controlsExperience working in agile and cross-functional development environmentsExperience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Pulsar, Kinesis)Proficient in conversational-level Japanese=========================================================================Important Points・All interviews will be arranged via Google Meet, unless otherwise stated.・The same job descriptions are available in both English and Japanese; therefore, we kindly ask that you apply to only one version.・We kindly request that you submit your resume in English, if possible.
