About the roleNEO is a world leader in hyperspectral imaging technology, known for our HySpex sensors used worldwide in research, industry, and defense. We are now building a new software team to develop a real-time platform for data processing and visualization – a key technology that will strengthen our solutions for defense, geology, environmental monitoring, and UAV-based data collection. As a GUI Developer, you will design and build a modern, high-performance interface that makes complex data intuitive and actionable in real time. You’ll work with 2D and 3D visualization, contribute to UX design, and collaborate closely with backend developers and the system architect to ensure seamless integration across the software stack. The position is part of NEO’s growing software organization – a multidisciplinary team where optics, electronics, and software come together to create advanced solutions for real-world applications. Key responsibilitiesDevelop and optimize operator interfaces for real-time data (2D/3D visualization)Design and implement graphical components and user interactionContribute to API integration and smooth collaboration between backend and GUIParticipate in UX design, prototyping and documentationEnsure high performance, responsiveness and robustness in demanding applicationsYour profileExperience with Qt/QML or other GUI frameworksUnderstanding of OpenGL/WebGL and 3D visualizationStrong focus on user experience and intuitive designProficiency in C++Appreciation for tight collaboration between frontend and backendCurious, detail-oriented and motivated by solving complex technical challenges What we offerAt NEO, you’ll join an environment where optics, electronics and software converge to create advanced, reliable technology used operationally — in the air, on land, and at sea. You’ll play a key role in developing an entirely new product, collaborate with leading research institutions and international partners, and influence architecture, design, and technical direction.  As part of an established company with a long-term commitment to research and innovation, you’ll be surrounded by skilled colleagues who value precision, collaboration, and lasting impact. NEO is an international workplace with around 70 employees representing more than 15 nationalities.
