Job SummaryThis Software Engineering position is dedicated to the development of advanced automation capabilities within Networks. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining automation solutions that streamline network operations, enhance network performance, and improve overall efficiency. This role requires a strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages and affinity with network architecture and its protocols, and technologies. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing network infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and play a key role in transforming network management through automation.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects align with the broader business, economic, and market environment in which the group operateEnsuring that automation projects align with the overall business strategy and objectives, contributing to the Bank’s growth and succesIdentifying an implementing automation solution that reduce operational costs and improve resource efficiencyLeading the end-to-end automation development process, from identifying opportunities and designing solutions to implementation and integration with existing network infrastructureDeveloping and maintaining automation scripts and tools to monitor network performance, identify issues, and optimise network operationsEnsuring through documentation of all automation processes and maintaining adherence to industry standards and best practicesCoordinating with cross -functional teams to align automation efforts with project goals and timelines, and to ensure seamless integration of automation solutionsImplementing continuous improvement processes to refine automation capabilities and enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of network operationsProviding training and support to network engineers and others stakeholders on the use and benefits of automation tools and processes.Our Ideal Candidates Should have:-Candidate should have minimum of 6 years’ experience in Banking and Finance domain, in following technologyPython full stack development with experience in Flask or Django frameworkInterested in network automationFront-end development using bootstrap and JavaScript (Good to have)GIT, Ansible, terraform etcUnit testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest)PostgreSQL, SQLite, MySQL - Configuration and ManagementAPI development and system integration (REST APIs, WebSockets, and GraphQL APIs)Designing Infrastructure as a Code (IAC) process, methodology and implementationExperience knowledge in Linux / Unix environmentFundamental architecture and design principles, object-orientation principles, and coding standardsDocker, Kubernetes, OpenShift - Containerize applicationsSDLCAgile methodology and Waterfall modelsAbout Standard CharteredWe're an international bank, nimble enough to act, big enough for impact.
