We aim to take products from Zero to One (and beyond). We are led by technologists and founders with a track record of creating other products used by billions, founding companies, and building large organizations. While we are focused on building new products, we also have a deep understanding of technology and ML and hope you are as excited about this technology as we are.What We are Looking For:We are looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas in information retrieval, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing. Ideally you also care about UX and product. You are comfortable with uncertainty and are excited to build new backend systems from scratch quickly. You will help set engineering standards and processes, resourcing, deployment, testing, essentially everything on this new project.We are trying to take some of the state of the art advances in AI research image generation, and bring them to various products, and will be iterating on pushing the boundaries of the underlying AI research to meet product needs, in collaboration with AI researchers. Looking for someone with experience iterating ideas and executing on full SDLC.Key responsibilities: (maximum of 10, minimum of 5)Rapidly prototype and iterate on new products and features using cutting edge AI.Train, evaluate, and launch new LLM solutions for real user problemsDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.About YouIn order to set you up for success as a Software Engineer at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:Proficiency in applying machine learning/deep learning models to real world problems.Proficiency in Python/C++In addition, the following would be an advantage:3 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning and/or natural language processing.5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.1 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.The US base salary range for this full-time position is between 197,000 USD - 291,000 USD+ bonus + equity + benefits.
