As a publicly traded company, Gemini is poised to accelerate this vision with greater scale, reach, and impact.The Department: FundingThe Role: Software EngineerAs an engineer in the Funding organization, you’ll be working as part of the core team of engineers responsible for designing, building, and supporting crypto transfers and fiat payments. The team’s support everything related to deposit and withdrawal of crypto assets and fiat assets on the platform.ResponsibilitiesImprove feedback cycles at all levels of development (examples: improving the experience of iterating on code locally, deploying to test environments, deploying to production)Quickly ramp up on the existing architecture and product featuresConsistently deliver code that sets the standard for quality and maintainabilitySystematically think through potential design impacts on other teams and the companyReview other software engineers’ code for correctness, style, and information security concernsImprove the performance, maintainability, and operations of the Gemini code base by engaging in refactoring and upgrade projectsIdentify and advocate for foundational work and practice improvements in their verticalQualificationsAt least 3 years of software engineering experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fieldProficiency in programming and development technologiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExpertise in Scala or in a similar backend programming languages, such as Java or C#Genuinely passionate about working with developers and improving their experience and velocityTechnical aptitude around Blockchain TechnologyThe ability to work closely across teams and manage dependenciesA customer and product-focused mindset, with the ability to make well-reasoned tradeoffs between speed and qualityThe ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities in collaboration with peersIt Pays to Work HereWe take a holistic approach to compensation at Gemini, which includes:Comprehensive health plans covered at 100% for employees and dependentsLong-term incentive in the form of a new hire equity grantPaid Parental LeaveCompetitive paid time offIn Singapore, we have a hybrid work policy.
