Software engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

SII is committed to a sustainable digital world and is recognized as a great workplace.In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software applications, as well as maintaining and improving existing systems.Key Responsibilities:Contribute in the design and outlining of Java solutions (with the analyst and / or architect)Understands the business needs and perform the needed functional analysisEnsure continuous integration and deployment of solutionsDeliver scalable Java web applications according to agreed planning and budgetDevelop qualitative sites that exceed all customers' expectationsTest applications and overcome technical issues encounteredAdd value to the sales cycle by giving input to your commercial colleagues (presales)Add constantly to the Java competency within SII BelgiumSupport the project manager during the estimation processTrain customers and usersRequirements:Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science3+ years of relevant experienceFamiliar with Agile methodology such as ScrumStrong knowledge of Java & Spring bootExperienced in Web-Sockets, Rest, XML, JSONGood knowledge of PKI and/or JavaCardsExperience with HTML5, CSS, BootstrapKnowledge in JavaScript/TypeScript with Angular is a big plusKnowledge in MicroServices, Kubernetes, JetStream; KAFKA is also a big plusFluent in English.
