Job Title: Professional Backend Developer (Java/Scala)Location: Budapest, Hungary (Hybrid)Job type – Contract/Freelancer Job Description• Strong Java or Scala skills, with the willingness to pick up the other language if not already proficient.• Prior experience in developing data- or computation-intensive backend applications (e.g. grid-based) is an advantage.• OOP design skills with an understanding or personal interest in Functional Programming concepts.• Willingness to understand and enhance other people’s code and work on wider components, including legacy systems.• Spring knowledge is an advantage, but willingness to learn and enhance in-house frameworks is essential.• Prior experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, pull requests, JIRA, and Scrum/Agile methodology is an advantage.
