Where no two days are the same.As a Software Mediation Engineer in our Telecom division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mediation systems that facilitate seamless communication between different network elements and operational support systems. Your expertise in Nokia Mediation or similar products will be crucial in ensuring efficient data collection, processing, and distribution across telecom networks.Your role:Designing, developing, implementing mediation workflows, nodes and streams to process telecom network data efficiently;Delivering good quality workflows/nodes/streams and functional tests;Writing high-quality code for mediation systems using languages such as Java, C++, Perl, and scripting languages like Shell, Bash, and Python;Performing installation, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting of Nokia Mediation or similar mediation products/systems;Creating and executing functional tests to ensure the reliability and performance of mediation solutions;Engineering and validating complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures to support scalable data workflows, with a strong emphasis on unit testing and iterative developmentCollaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;Debugging complex issues and implementing effective solutions in mediation systems;Working with container technologies like Kubernetes and Docker for deployment and management of mediation applications;Documenting technical specifications, procedures, and best practices for mediation systems;Providing technical support and knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders.Your profile:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, or a relevant field with a strong interest in software development;Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Nokia Mediation or similar mediation products/systems;Demonstrated ability to independently write code, test, and deliver high-quality workflows, nodes, streams, and functional tests;Strong understanding of telecom domain concepts and their application in mediation systems;Proficient in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and Unix environmentsExperience with programming languages including C, C++, Perl, Java, and XMLExcellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detailStrong scripting capabilities in Shell, Bash, and PythonEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with diverse teams;Experience with Business Logic Tool (BLT), TimesTen, or other product-specific features is a plus;Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker container technologies is a plusExperience with Nokia's EventLink 7.x and above or Nokia Data Refinery 19.x and above is highly valued;Experience with Network Orchestration is nice to have.What you will love about working here?Collaborative and Inclusive Culture: You’ll work alongside passionate engineers striving to provide the best service to our clients and communities with shared interests and identities, in a dynamic environment involving teams spread across different global locations.Flexibility and Growth: Enjoy flexible working hours and access to a wide range of professional development opportunities, including training programs, learning platforms and certifications.
