Job Description

We’re looking a strong Product Manager to help define and deliver experiences that customers in the convenience and fuel retail industry love as a part of Invenco by GVR, a Vontier operating company. This person will be responsible for product planning and execution, including but not limited to assessing customer needs, analyzing market trends, and acting on customers' behalf to prioritize product requirements. The Product Manager helps lead the business working collaboratively with engineering, sales, marketing, and other internal and external stakeholders to execute the product roadmap. Ultimately, the goal is to delight customers and deliver business goals.This position reports to the Senior Director of Product Management and is located in ILThe focus of the Product Manager’s (PM) role is to: Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer needs, industry trends, and company's business opportunities. Manage product lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI) to End of Life (EOL), including component phase-outs, engineering change notifications, pricing, revenue, and profit. Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new products and added features. Identify additional customer needs for in-store experiences within the fuel & convenience retail space and determine how to deliver them – build, buy, partner Analyze customer requests, feedback, and insights to inform product improvements and innovation. Facilitate internal processes across various departments to ensure seamless product development and delivery. Generate and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Visit customers and subsidiaries to conduct market research and competitive analysis, informing the setting of short- and mid-term goals for the product roadmapCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support to deliver high-quality products that meet market needsTrack product performance, analyze outcomes, and adjust plans to optimize product success.Act as a product evangelist, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and with key clientsCreate business cases for new products/features5+ years of product management experience in the software industry, with a strong preference for candidates with POS software experience in the convenience and retail fuel sectorProven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle, including the management of cross-functional teamsStrong technical background with an understanding of software development and web technologiesExcellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skillsAbility to think strategically and creatively to solve complex problemsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceExperience in retail a plus or convenience and fuel retail a plusBe willing to travel as needed, up to 30% of the timeExcellent English – Spoken and WrittenOrpak delivers comprehensive solutions to oil companies and commercial fleets, improving profitability and optimizing performance from the forecourt to the head office.
