You will oversee the entire quality plan for FC football game titles and will report to the QV Development Director and partner directly with the Producer and/or other Designers to establish quality standards and provide both quantitative and qualitative feedback on new features.🔑Your ResponsibilitiesQuality Strategy and Test PlanningLeverage testing skills and methodologies to systematically test the product and share resultsDesign, develop, and lead quality strategies for owned featuresImplement pre-integration build verification and reporting processesResearch and propose solutions for increasing test coverage efficiencyIdentify risks and plan testing for releasesDocument reproduction steps, gather test data, and assist in debuggingQuality and Data AnalysisCompile data from multiple sources into cohesive summaries to communicate status and riskUse different testing methodologies and analyze feature sets for automation opportunities (Risk-based Testing, Data/AI-driven testing and more)Monitor game builds and follow up on fixes to ensure quality goals are metPerform design testing reviews, ensuring the design is captured and identifying bugs and user concerns before they make it into software.Use development tools to guide issue identification upstream and promote defect prevention.Collaboration and CommunicationCommunicate status and risk through cohesive summariesServe as the communication bridge between development partners and QA teamsProvide technical, quantitative, and qualitative feedbackRepresent the QA perspective effectively in meetings, ensuring quality standards are prioritized.Mentorship and Team SupportLead improvements and knowledge sharing across teamsPromote professional growth within the QA teamMentor and support team members in implementing quality strategies✅ Our RequirementsExperience and KnowledgeExperience in software development, quality assurance, or game designFamiliarity with automated testing and common automation tool setsExperience with defect and task tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)Project Management for planning and execution of test strategy and tasks using Scrum/Agile processKnowledge of Agile/Scrum software/game developmentSkills And AbilitiesUnderstand concepts of defect prevention and containmentExcellent collaboration and communication skillsExperience with Grey/White box testing in development environmentsTranslate project metrics into data-driven decisions and strategiesPassion for creating high-quality player experiencesPath To Becoming a Quality DesignerLearn More about the Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) team at EA.From Government to Game Development, Jessica Makes a Move.
