Software Quality Engineer

Location: SingaporeEmployment Type: Full-time / ContractExperience Level: 4–7 yearsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement comprehensive testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery.Collaborate with Product Owners and Developers to define clear and testable user story acceptance criteria.Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, or EggPlant.Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, performance, and API testing across web, mobile, and cloud environments.Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI) for continuous testing and early defect detection.Perform system integration testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with stakeholders.Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and resolution tracking.Apply risk-based testing and Agile methodologies (TDD, BDD, exploratory testing) to improve coverage and efficiency.Continuously enhance testing practices, frameworks, and tools within agile and DevOps environments.QualificationsRequired:4–7 years of hands-on experience in software testing, QA automation, or quality engineering.Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Strong understanding of test automation principles, Agile testing, and DevOps workflows.Experience in functional, regression, and API testing, with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Go).Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder collaboration skills.Must be based in Singapore.An Advantage:Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, k6, Locust).Exposure to security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, SAST/DAST).Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Experience testing AI-driven applications or AI agent platforms.Professional certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent.
